Belarusian PM presents state awards for professional distinction

Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko presented state awards to professionals from different sectors in the Palace of the Republic on 14 September, BelTA has learned.

Following the instruction of the Belarusian president state awards were bestowed upon representatives of different areas of activity, professionals who by their labor make a significant contribution to the development of modern Belarus.

“Today, on behalf of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, in the run-up to the national holiday - Day of People's Unity - state awards are presented to professionals, whose merits and contribution to the development of their native country have been recognized by the state,” Roman Golovchenko said.

The prime minister stressed that the awardees “include many officials, honored with awards for exemplary performance of their official duties and significant achievements in the state civil service”.

“The civil servant, playing the role of an agent of change in all sectors of public life, is a kind of mirror, which reflects the policy of the state. Here are representatives of different government bodies, but all of you are united by the fact that every day you put the interests of the state above your personal ones,” the head of government emphasized and wished the awardees to wear the title of civil servant with dignity.

The prime minister also addressed the cultural workers present in the hall, whose labor was marked with the Medal of Francysk Skaryna.

The words of gratitude were also addressed to the workers of industry, banking sector, and also scientists.

Addressing all those who attended the awards ceremony, Roman Golovchenko stressed: “The state award is not only a sign of recognition of labor achievements and merits, but also a symbol of trust and sincere gratitude on the part of our society for the work of those who in these difficult times put the interests of the country above all and give all their strength for the benefit of the future of the Motherland.”

Words of gratitude were also addressed to workers of manufacturing industries, the banking sector, and scientists.

Addressing all those at the solemn ceremony, Roman Golovchenko emphasized: "The state award is not only a sign of recognition of labor achievements, it is a symbol of trust and gratitude from our entire society to those who in this difficult time are ready to put the country's interests above their own. Everyone contributes to the fruitful, peaceful and creative work for the benefit of our country."

More than 40 people received state awards in a ceremony on 14 September.
